Multivalent artist and experimental trickster Joseph Keckler shares selections from his latest work-in-progress, A Good Night in the Trauma Garden. This unique production weaves together original compositions built on rhythmic vocal soundscapes and fragments of classical works that conspire to form weird grooves, all set alongside a narrative portrait of a late friend and a meditation on what it means to be “classic.”

Live Arts’ entrances are located on the street level, as is the main entrance to the theater. Box Office staff is available for assistance at either the single revolving door or pair of push bar doors. The elevator provides access to theater seating at the front of the audience, administrative offices, and the studios. Studios and bathroom entrances have ADA push button swing doors.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Joseph Keckler is a musician, writer and multifaceted artist. Operating in a mode of his own, somewhere between art, opera, and rock and roll, Keckler has been praised by The New York Times as a “major vocal talent with a trickster’s dark wit… who shatters conventional boundaries.” He has been presented by NPR Tiny Desk series, Lincoln Center, and many other venues. His previous performance pieces include the critically-acclaimed Train With No Midnight. His debut essay and story collection Dragon at the Edge of a Flat World was published by Turtle Point Press. He is working on new recordings, writings, and films. Upcoming performances include the Big Ears Festival and an Australian tour.
